Alright this might be a long one…but that usually means it’s a good one.

I just finished jamming on acoustic guitar with my buddy Jay, we’ve been playing for about 2 hours now.  All the while I’ve had the same thoughts running around in my head about the 20 minute video I watched earlier today by Anik Singal.

Watch it here if you are in a rush.  But I’d personally suggest reading what I got to say.

If you don’t know who Anik Singal is that doesn’t really matter at this point.  You’ll make your own decision about him eventually I’m sure.  So let me start first of all by saying this.  YES, Anik is going to try to sell you something.  DUH!

So don’t get all pissy at me or Anik when you head over there, watch the video and then at the end there’s a product for sale.  This is Internet Marketing, this is what we do.  You should know that by now.  So if you aren’t making any money online instead of getting upset just pay attention… ya, even if you don’t buy anything.

This is a video about the basics baby!  Like learning how to crawl before you walk.  Then mastering walking before you try running, and then of course running and eventually sprinting.  One step at a time, totally natural the way mother nature and god almighty himself planned it.

All successful Internet Marketers already have these 3 simple things in place even if they don’t know it.  But they probably do.

So this is Anik Singals story about how he started on just like you and me on the Internet.  A nobody, with no money and no knowledge, but a dream.  A hope to make enough money online to replace the income from his job.  But Anik is a ridiculously hard working and smart individual and he did the smartest thing in the world.  He started with the basics.

He calls it a formula but really it’s just stripping away all the complexities of Internet Marketing and just laying it out completely simply.  It’s the basic ingredients to getting you started selling online, but not just selling, but growing your business.

So basically it works like this.

1. You find a product to sell. (what to sell)
2. You throw some targeted traffic at it. (where to sell it)
3. You automate the system. (how to sell it)

That’s basically it.  Sounds pretty stupid right.  You’re saying to yourself, “I already knew that.”

But seriously, think about it.  All the other stuff you see on the Internet always boils down to those three things but look at the host of products, services and ebooks that come out of it which all can easily serve to confuse you and take you focus away from the BASICS.

1.) What to Sell. (Niche Marketing, Product Creation, CPA, Adsese Products, Resell Rights)
2.) Where to Sell It. (Article Marketing, Blogging, Adwords, Link Building, Joint Ventures)
3.) How to Sell It Automatically. (Webhosting, Autoresponder, Domain Names)

Do you see what I’m getting at?

Ok I think you understand.  Now go watch this video and see in more detail what Anik is teaching and how if you have been struggling online, it’s probably cause you are into Niche Marketing or Blogging or Building Websites, when really what you need to do is go back to the basics and set up your ‘BUSINESS’ from the basics.

Hey everyone,

  So this journal is turning into a bit more of a personal blog than a business blog, but it was intended for both so when it goes out of balance, that simply means one area of my life is doing really well so I write about it more!  ;o)

  My band Hollywood Assassyn has finally released it’s first EP titled ‘The Sick In Me’ which consists of 5 tracks we recorded at PowerSound Studio’s here in Edmonton.  As I’ve been playing in a band for the past 6 or 7 years now this is my first fully professional product meaning recorded, mixed, mastered and printed with fabulous artwork.  Needless to say I’m very excited to have it in my hands!

  Then there’s my biz, I haven’t been as active at online marketing as I would like to be because of how busy I’ve been with music.  I also took a real job all of last year doing carpentry so I could learn some more highly useful skills.

  But lately I’ve been back online and I’m working to release a product that’s been on the back-burner for way to long.  This will actually be a re-release as I’ve put this out before and it was a huge success, but I’ve worked on it and made it way better.

  I won’t tell you what it is quite yet, but I will tell you the guarantee which I’m making.  “You will make money BEFORE you have to pay any money.”   I know that sounds pretty crazy, but it’s true.  It took me a long time and a ton of money to put this together but I can assure you that there is not one single product on the internet that has a guarantee that strong, because no one else has what I have created!

  The best part of it, is that it’s FREE!

ya, I really do hate starting off a new blog entry with a bunch of crappy excuses as to why I haven’t written in so long.  Make a long story short…I’m lazy.  Isn’t that the dream of most Internet Marketers tho?  To make so much money that they can be lazy and not work?  Ha ha….that’s not at all the case with me.

My last post talks about my new band Hollywood Assassyn which I’m still in, and we are doing great.  We ended up getting 4th place in our provice of Alberta for the music competition, pretty solid finish if you ask me considering how new of a band we are.

Then I also decided to get a ‘real job’ as a renovations worker.  Me and my girlfriend Angela want to slowly work our way into the real estate market and knowing how to a lot of the work ourselves would really help.  So I took the job, not so much for the money, but for the knowledge.    Boy oh boy…for someone who has been sitting behind a keyboard for the past 10 years, I sure quickly realized how hard so many people in life work.

I mean, I’ve only been working the real work for 2 months and every night I come home so tired and so drained.  All I want to do is eat and watch tv to fall asleep to so that I can do it again tomorrow morning!  I mean, I even like my job because I know that I’m learning some very valuable skills, and my girlfriend has seen me lose a lot of my belly which is cool too…but maaaan does it ever suck the life out of me.

I mean, I love Internet Marketing and I love reading about new things that are going on.  I love setting up JV’s and crafting emails and all that great stuff.  I love meeting new people and talking about new ideas and ways to make money online.  I love it all…but over the past two working months, I have had the hardest time actually getting to work and not just ‘Facebooking’.  Add me if you like by the way!

I got a really good taste of something that most people go through everyday…and to be totally honest without being disrespectful…I hate it.  I hate that my most creative and inspiring hours are spent making someone else rich while so many great ideas or work bursts of energy pass by cause I’m somewhere else doing someone else’s work.

So I have cut myself down to part time and vowed to renew my energies into things that I love, or that make me a lot of money so that I can set myself free again.  Free to play my guitar, and record songs, and write messages like these to you great people who read them, and discover new territory on the internet, and sleep in a little and all that great stuff.

Listen….if you read this and you can relate to what I’m talking about…like if you hate that your best hours are givin to someone else making them rich while they lay around by the pool on vacation…you have DO SOMETHING about it.  You have to make a move.  Make ANY move…it doesn’t matter how small or insignificant you may feel it is.  MAKE THAT MOVE.

You know all the sayings, 1000 mile journey begins with the first step…ya it’s corny and cheesy and overused, but it’s also true.  There are opportunities out there that you can do part time at first and grow into a business later.  Trust me…how do you think I got my start?  I mean some people start off rich, but you and me ain’t that person are we?  We have to work our own asses off to get anywhere. 

But if you don’t work your own ass off, it’s always gonna be there all big and chunky and slowing you down where ever you go.  ;o)
